RibeiroPinto OÜ ("we", "us"), a company incorporated in Estonia, operates the Bank Statement Converter service at parsebankstatements.com (the "Service"). For personal data processed to provide the Service, RibeiroPinto OÜ acts as the data controller.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Account data: email address, authentication identifiers, password hash (or OAuth identifiers if you sign in via a third-party provider).
  • Uploaded content: the PDF bank statements you upload and the parsed transaction data derived from them.
  • Usage data: conversion history, plan usage counters, timestamps, feature interactions.
  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and diagnostic logs.
  • Support communications: messages you send us.

Payment card details are handled by Paddle, not by RibeiroPinto OÜ. See "Sharing" below.

3. How we use personal data and legal bases

  • Provide the Service (parse uploads, deliver Excel output, run your account) — performance of a contract.
  • Billing and subscription management — performance of a contract.
  • Security, fraud prevention, and abuse detection — legitimate interests and legal obligation.
  • Product improvement and analytics — legitimate interests.
  • Customer support — performance of a contract and legitimate interests.
  • Legal compliance (tax, accounting, responding to lawful requests) — legal obligation.

4. Sharing your personal data

We share personal data with the following categories of recipients:

  • Merchant of Record — Paddle: Paddle.com Market Ltd. processes sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing as our reseller and Merchant of Record.
  • Infrastructure and hosting providers: cloud hosting, database, authentication, and storage subprocessors that run the Service.
  • AI processing providers: our AI gateway processes bank statement text to improve parsing accuracy.
  • Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and tax advisers where necessary.
  • Authorities: where required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Some of our subprocessors are located outside your country of residence, including outside the UK/EEA. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period after account closure, subject to legal retention requirements (e.g. tax records held by Paddle). Uploaded statement files and parsed output may be deleted on request and are otherwise retained only as long as needed to provide the Service to you.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. UK/EEA residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We aim to respond to verified requests within one month.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege infrastructure — to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password for your account.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service securely. We may use limited analytics to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email.
